The Commission meets every other month. Deadlines above are the CIE's published filing dates: new-institution applications are due roughly five months before the meeting at which they are heard; all other applications (program additions, location changes, renewals requiring Commission action) roughly four months before. Confirm against the official FLDOE CIE calendar before filing.
Planning a new school?
A new-institution application filed by September 1, 2026 makes the January 28–29, 2027 meeting; by November 2, 2026, the April 2027 meeting. Use the runway: a complete, well-prepared CIE application typically takes about three months to assemble.

Program additions, location changes, and other applications for the January 28–29, 2027 meeting are due October 1, 2026. Annual renewals and fees run on their own cycle — don't wait for a Commission meeting to address them.
